About Me
Hi!
My name is Laurie and I'm an artist and storyteller from Southwold, Suffolk. I studied marine zoology at university and have a particular interest in sharks, especially the 21 resident species we have in the UK ˖.⊹𓂃𓂄
I am also passionate about conservation and rewilding and what that means for different ecosystems, woods, rivers, farms, and the sea. Our changing relationship with the natural world means more people looking for ways to get involved to protect and preserve the beauty that sustains all life. That's where I come in! I want to connect more people to nature and their heritage through educational art and storytelling in a way that gives you a little something extra in return.
My zine collections are focused on folk tales from East Anglia and my other collections are accompanied by mini zines on how to take care of our wonderful natural world. I also have links and information (non affiliated) to a number of other UK organisations trying to raise awareness for nature which I would love you to explore.
Everything I make is handcrafted and I try to thrift as many of my materials as possible, and anything I buy new I try to ensure is 100% sustainable. All of my packaging is also 100% eco-friendly and sometimes I will reuse packaging if it's still in good condition. If you d0 buy anything from me, be sure to expect a few little imperfections here and there, as just like nature, nothing I make is perfect but it is sure is beautiful!
